It is, of course, a unique perspective. All writers are different. Some have a tale to tell, some, an idea to express. Writers write for a host of reasons. Some have even produced works that have changed the world. But I don’t believe anyone has ever written anything in the sure knowledge that it would.
What I do accept for fact is: The world is a globe that revolves around the sun, and everything that is written does, in some way, influence others.
A simple letter to ones parents reminds them they are loved. A letter to a bank can sometimes seem ineffectual, but will influence some kind of reaction. Writing will produce feelings in a reader that didn’t exist before. Good, bad, something in between, but not indifferent.
“Indifference is a state that exists before reading words that have been composed for a purpose.”
There, I’ve written that. Hopefully you are pondering the wisdom or lack of, and will come back to me with your comments. They are the words I’ve composed, and you are no longer indifferent to my thoughts.
